Leonie provided voluntary midwifery support to Betty through her pregnancy in 2014-15.

I first met Leonie in 2013. I knew her then to be a passionate women of God who had a heart for justice related issues.
When my husband & I found out we were expecting in fall 2014, we knew we wanted to use a faith filled midwife. We were thrilled when we learned that Leonie would be the assisting midwife at our birth.
During our monthly visits she was calm, encouraging & extremely knowledgable. Based on her observations, we learned that at 37 weeks, our baby was breech. Our baby ended up head down & we were able to experience the birth preference for which we had hoped.
Leonie remained attentive & compassionate during my entire labour & birth. My husband & I both felt like we had the best birth team on the planet!
As I transitioned into motherhood I was so thankful to have Leonie by my side. Her further skill set as a lactation specialist was also extremely helpful to us as we have chosen to exclusively breastfeed & naturally had many questions & concerns that she was able to address & resolve.
I attribute much of our successful birth & transition into parenthood with Leonie's expertise, compassion & care as a midwife.
We love Leonie!
